Attorney Michael B. Greenstein grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Brandeis University in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in American Studies. In 1991, I earned my law degree from the University of Pittsburgh and began practicing divorce and family law the following year. In addition to my private practice, I have served as an arbitrator for the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County and also completed an intensive program of mediation training. In 2008, I served as a substitute teacher of family law at the Duquesne University School of Law. I have been a guest on the KQV radio talk show, “Dealing with Divorce.” In 2011, I taught a continuing legal education class for other lawyers, explaining to them the revisions to the Pennsylvania child custody law.
As a professional with over twenty years’ experience helping people who never imagined having to face the pain and challenges that come when relationships end, I believe in a personal approach to provide lasting solutions for clients and their families. I find that clear explanations make for informed decisions, and you can count on me to ensure that you thoroughly understand your legal situation. I will offer you frank perspectives and detailed advice, identify and explain your various choices, and try to find options that maximize favorable results while minimizing conflict. I have extensive courtroom experience and am familiar with all aspects of divorce and family law. When you need family law help, give me a call for a free consultation.
Attorney Tara L. Hutchinson grew up in Philadelphia, but has lived in Pittsburgh since 2004. She received a Bachelor of Arts in 2008 from Duquesne University, and a Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law in 2011.
While at Duquesne she participated in the family law clinic, where she spent a full academic year with the Juvenile Court Project. This unique opportunity provided her insight into the very misunderstood and highly specialized field of juvenile law.
After graduation, she focused primarily on Social Security Disability, representing disabled claimants (particularly those with military backgrounds) at various levels in the disability process. Her interest and skill as a musician led her to assisting talented international artists in their Visa applications.
Her desire to assist families eventually brought her back into the family law practice, where most of her efforts are focused now. She is committed to informing all clients of their rights and in helping them to navigate this very challenging and confusing process.
Outside of the legal profession, Tara is a flautist and contralto. She dedicates several hours a week to learning new languages. She is currently a member of the Ukrainian Community of Western Pennsylvania. She is also supporter of various animal shelters in Pittsburgh.
Tara will handle your case with dedicated professionalism and skill.
Attorney JP Fridy is a native Pittsburgher who grew up in the East Hills before attending the University of Pittsburgh. While an undergrad, JP dabbled in computer science before settling on History, a lifelong passion. He received his Bachelor of Arts in History, with a History honors degree and a Western European Studies Certificate, in 2005. After spending a year working as a transcriber and data collection assistant in the field of computational linguistics, he went back to Pitt to study law, receiving his Juris Doctor in 2009.
During his time at Pitt Law, JP interned at the Pittsburgh Refugee and Immigrant Assistance Center and was an Articles Editor for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. Before graduating cum laude in 2009, he received CALI awards for attaining the highest grade in Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Interviewing and Counseling.
Since law school, JP has practiced in a number of diverse practice areas, including corporate mergers and acquisitions, public finance, commercial litigation, electronic discovery, estates administration, personal injury, and family law. He first developed a taste for family law in 2012 as an associate for a small general practice law firm in Washington County. After spending two years doing electronic discovery for a multinational law firm, JP is delighted to be returning to the realm of family law and the gratification of calmly guiding clients through often bewildering and emotionally fraught challenges.
